Teen paralyzed by massive stroke gets dream bedroom

Issaic Allard was your typical high school athlete. He played for the football team and ran track. But then, on the morning of his 16th birthday, he woke up feeling dizzy and nauseous.

Then, he realized was paralyzed all down his left side. He was rushed to the hospital, and that's where he's been for the last six months.

Issaic had a massice stroke, due to an arteriovenous malformation, which is a defect in the circulatory system of snarled tangles of arteries and veins. He's been in the hospital for months, now, doing extensive rehab.

But earlier this week, Issaic finally got to come home -- and he came home to a new bedroom, thanks to Art Van Furniture and the Suite Dreams Project. You can see photos of his new pad in the photo gallery here.

He still has a long way to go in the healing process, but he has supportive friends and family behind him. His high school football team will even wear his number on the back of their helmets this season.
