Teen shot outside suspected drug house in Detroit, police say

Detroit police are investigating the shooting of a teenage boy Thursday night in southwest Detroit. 

Police say the 14-year-old was shot in the stomach at a house in the 1900 block of Sharon Street, which is near Vernor Highway and Lawndale Street. Police say the house is a suspected drug house. 

Police officers were the ones that rushed the teen the hospital, after they were initially called to the block for a shots fired in the area. The teen is in the hospital in critical condition. 

A friend of the victim told police they were walking down the street and that he heard four shots fired. When the friend looked over he saw the 14-year-old boy had been shot in the abdomen, police say.
