Teenage girl hit, killed in crash on Telegraph, road closed between 9 and 10 Mile

The southbound lanes of Telegraph are expected to be closed for rush hour between 9 and 10 Mile after a fatal accident.

According to Southfield officials, a teenage girl was hit by a car on Southfield at 10 Mile. She died from her injuries.

Authorities say that the southbound lanes will be closed between 9 and 10 Mile as crews work the scene.

The female's name has not been released but FOX 2 has learned the girl is a student at Bradford Academy.

We've also learned the girl was running back to the school from Burger King when she was hit by the car.

All traffic has been stopped in the area.
