EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WJBK) - Eastpointe police are investigating after a shooting left one dead and two injured on Saturday night.
The shooting happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday when two groups of people got into an altercation at a large party in the 22000 block of Wilmont Avenue, just south of Nine Mile Road.
When police arrived they discovered two of the shooting victims.
The first victim, a 15-year-old male, was shot in the neck. He was transported to the hospital in an ambulance, but later died.
Another victim, a 34-year-old male, was also taken to the hospital in an ambulance. He was shot in the foot and is expected to recover.
A third victim was transported to the hospital by a friend. He was shot in the torso and is expected to survive.
All three victims are Detroit residents.
