DETROIT (WJBK) - A 15-year-old is in temporary serious condition after being shot on Detroit's east side Thursday night.
Police say the crime appeared to unfold throughout three different locations that span about one mile.
Police tell us the teen was shot in the area of Chalmers and Outer Drive. It's unclear if he was walking or in a car at the time of the shooting.
About two blocks south on Chalmers, police had crime tape up around another scene where a Buick was shot up. Police haven't said yet how this is connected.
The injured 15-year-old somehow ended up at the KFC restaurant about a mile from the original scene. That’s where police were called and he was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
Police don't have anyone in custody at this time, and haven't said yet why they believe the teen was shot.
