The latest obstacle in the fight to fix Michigan's roads

The fight to fix Michigan's crumbling highways stalls in Lansing - but is it another speedbump or a major roadblock.

Just when it looked like Gov. Rick Snyder and four legislative leaders were inching their way toward a road fix deal, the "i" word came up - impasse.

Snyder said there is a disagreement over tax relief. Republicans argue that if the gas taxes go up to the people back home, let's also give them tax relief. The plan would be added to the package for the next election.

The question, is if they can get over the impasse. Snyder said a meeting was planned for Wednesday.

Tim Skubick talks to one Republican state lawmaker about the package.
