GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. (WJBK) - Authorities are investigating after a craft beer bar was broken into overnight in Grosse Pointe Park.
The alarm went off at Howlers and Growlers on Charlevoix just before 2 a.m. Police say the suspects backed a truck into the front of the business to get inside. Once inside, they went straight for the AM.
"From watching the video, it took them exactly one minute to be in and out," says Grosse Pointe Police Lt. Jim Bostock. Police say there was a few hundred dollars in the ATM.
They're reviewing surveillance video to try and get a description of the suspects. Police say at least two people came inside, but they were both wearing masks and gloves so it may be hard to identify them.
Authorities are also looking into if this smash-and-grab is connected to the many others that have happened in Detroit over the past few weeks.
