TROY, Mich. (WJBK) - Troy police are investigating alleged social media school shooting threats made by a 15-year-old.
The teen is a student at Troy High School, but police say no direct threats specifically named that school or any other. No classes at Troy were canceled or interrupted Wednesday.
Police and school officials were made aware of the threats this morning. A school and criminal investigation was started and the family of the boy has been cooperative
Investigators don't believe the student had any means to carry out the threat. The investigation is open.
Police plan to increase safety patrols at the school until the investigation is completed, working in conjunction with the Troy school district.
