Waterford 7-Eleven armed robbery caught on video

Waterford police are looking for two suspects whose robbery of a 7-Eleven was caught on video.

Security cameras caught a crime in progress at 2:15 a.m. November 10 at the 7-Eleven on Cass Lake Road.

Within seconds of the suspects entering the front door, the clerk in the store had a gun in his face. While one of the masked men went for the cash, the other watched the door making sure no customers came in.

"Suspect No. 1 asked the clerk to get cash registers out, there were two registers and put in the duffel bag," said Lt. Scott Good, Waterford Township police.

They were both in and out with about $300 in cash.

Police were at the scene within seconds of the crime with the canine unit, which tracked the scent and followed it south down Cass Lake Road, but lost it soon after.

Investigators have been following up on leads but want these two brazen criminals caught before the steal again.

If anyone recognizes the clothing description or anything from the scene in the video, they are encouraged them to call Waterford police at (248) 674-0351 directly or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
