Waterford cash advance store robbed at gunpoint
WATERFORD, Mich. (WJBK) - An Advance America cash advance store in Waterford was robbed at gunpoint Thursday shortly after noon.
At about 12:34 p.m., police responded to a call from the store at 5570 Dixie Highway. The suspect entered the businesses and demanded money, holding a black semi-auto handgun, then fled the scene with an unconfirmed amount of money.
The suspect, described as a 6'0" black male in his mid-20s, was last seen walking south along Dixie Highway. He wore a black and white flannel shirt, a multi-colored scarf and hat, and black pants, shoes and gloves. He also carried a dark-colored shoulder bag.
