Friday evening, an 18-year-old Wayne State female student reported she was the victim of a rape while inside her on-campus dorm room.

She stated that around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, she met an unknown male on the dating app Tinder. The student invited the male to her on-campus Residence Hall where the two began talking.

The student states that consensual sex was discussed, however she stated she told the male that she did not wish to engage in any sexual activity at that time. The student then stated the male then forced her to engage in non-consensual sexual activity.

The student told authorities the suspect went as "Leon Miller", but police have not yet confirmed that name.

The offender is further described as a black male about 20 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall with an athletic build and a large tattoo on his chest. Per the female student, the offender is not a WSU student.

Wayne State University Police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter, however the victim has already advised that she does not wish to press any charges.
