West Bloomfield police raid suspected heroin dealer's house in Detroit

West Bloomfield Police are executing a search warrant at the home of a suspected heroin dealer in Detroit Wednesday morning.

Authorities are at a home in the 17000 block of Dean Street, which is near the intersection of Ryan Road and Nevada Avenue.

West Bloomfield Police tell us they've arrested someone at the Detroit home in connection with an overdose death that happened in West Bloomfield earlier this month.

The 41-year-old who was taken into custody allegedly supplied opioids laced with fentanyl to a 26-year-old woman from West Bloomfield that caused her to die of an overdose on August 8.

The raid Wednesday morning also included authorities from Novi and Michigan State police.

It's not known at this time if any drugs were found in the home.

Police did not give the name of the overdose victim or the suspected dealer.
