White Castle, or better known on Valentine's Day as 'Love Castle', opened its door to all those in love Sunday. Lovebirds got tableside service as they were making the holiday a very special day or night out.

Many customers ordered the world famous sliders but White Castle also served other special food items, such as shrimp nibblers and strawberry and cream waffles.

And while White Castle is celebrating Valentine's Day at all of their restaurants nationwide, there was a special surprise at the Clinton Township location on 16 Mile at Groesbeck.

Eric and Michelle are recently engaged and went out for sliders. But by the time they were finished and went to pay for the meal, they were given a most generous surprise. The bill was already paid for!

A very generous Valentine's Day Cupid paid for everyone's romantic dinner at White Castle. and Fox 2 caught up with the benevolent soul to see why he did.

Meet Stan Schriner, a cancer survivor from St. Clair. Stan has been cancer free for more than five years now.

He says he was paying for everyone's meals to celebrate life. It had originally been an invitation only generosity for his family and friends, but when he arrived and saw others enjoying the holiday he just could not resist.

A very nice gesture by Schriner that undoubtedly gave everyone who stopped at the 'Castle' a memory they'll never forget.
