One person is dead, three others injured and a vehicle cut in half after a major accident on M-14 outside of Plymouth Township.

Investigators say the vehicle that caused the crash was heading eastbound on M-14 near Gotfredson. A witness says it was traveling close to 100 miles an hour when it crossed the median and drove into oncoming traffic.

Jamie Desselles was also driving on M-14 when it happened.

"It hit the black SUV and the car just flipped in the air so high," she said.

Desselles snapped pictures after the crash and claims to have gotten a good look at the driver and passenger moments before the collision.

"It just looked like he was going crazy," she said. "And you could see the passenger was scared and freaking out. It looked like he was telling him to stop."

She says neither the driver nor passenger got out of the car after the crash.

First responders say one of the men was pinned inside. A woman and her daughter were inside one of the other vehicles that were struck. An EMS unit transported them to the hospital.

The accident shut down M-14 for a couple of hours with the eastbound side was the first to open up.

Desselles says the driver nearly hit her before crossing over into oncoming traffic, adding that the close call scared her so much she says she drove home at 40 miles an hour on the freeway.
