Woman finds husband shot, killed in backyard
DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in his driveway early Tuesday morning on the city's northeast side.
Police were called around 12:15 a.m. to the home in the 18000 block of Gruebner Avenue, which is near Outer Drive and Greiner Street.
Police say a woman heard her husband pull into their driveway in the backyard, so she went to unlock the door. That's when, police say, she heard gunfire and looked out and saw her husband lying in their driveway.
Police believe the victim, who friends identify as 41-year-old Michael Parker, and two suspects exchanged shots before Parker was struck.
Police have one suspect in custody and are currently searching for the additional suspect.
Police were on scene overnight talking to neighbors.
