Police: Commerce Twp. Woman dies in stabbing; husband in custody

Police are investigating a woman's homicide at a home in Commerce Township.

Police were called to the home for a domestic situation around 9:40 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Applebrook Drive, which is near Sleeth and Benstein roads. Police say the couple's 10-year-old child called 911 and said the father was getting a knife.

When police got to the home, they say a man covered in blood opened the door and told police his wife was dead. Police found a woman deceased in the home. The couple's three children were upstairs and were not harmed.

Police say the husband, identified to us as 36-year-old Noah Ravenscroft, is in stable condition at a local hospital after a self-inflicted knife injury. He is being questioned and is under watch by deputies. Ravenscroft is a former employee with Quicken Loans. We're told by Quicken that he resigned in December.

Neighbors are in shock and say they've seen police cars at the home before.
