Ok, don't mistake me for not being understanding. I know it's cold. I feel it too. But you won't hear me complain about it for a few reasons I'm about to share with you.
First off, this winter has been spectacular. If I've done my math right, we are currently sitting at #4 on the all time warmest winter seasons ever. Our average high temp has been 41.1 degrees when normally it's closer to 34.4. We have been 11 degrees above average in December, 2.5 degrees above average in January and 4.4 degrees above average in February. We've gotten spoiled!
Second, does anyone remember last February? It was cold. Like, really cold. Like, historically cold. In fact February 2015 was the second coldest February ever! So, just comparing the last two years, we are in better shape.
And third... it's kinda nice to be cold every once in a while. Cold temps slow down the reproduction of germs (which, as someone dealing with a cold, I like to hear!) and snuggling on the couch with a blanket and a book is a nice thing to do. When was the last time you just slowed down and relaxed?
So, despite the fact that this weekend will be the coldest stretch we've had in in 350 days... you won't hear me complaining.
