Local vintage baseball teams celebrate opening day with co-ed game, spotlights how women shaped

Sunday saw the opening of the 2015 vintage baseball season here in metro Detroit pitting the all-women's Detroit River Belles vs. the all-men's Detroit Early Rise Baseball Club.

The game took place at Navin Field, or better known as the former site of Tiger Stadium pitted both teams in vintage gear taking the field.

Fans say when you are watching a vintage baseball game you're immediately taken back to many years ago as the players are dressed in uniforms worn in the 1800's. Even the baseball balls are vintage. Each bat and uniform is handmade by the player on that team. The players even speak, act and interact with the fans their to watch them as if it were nearly a century ago.

Fox 2's Amy Lange has more.
