MDOT to start to replace bridge supports on I-75, I-94.

In March, 10 temporary bridge supports were put in place to stabilize the bridge and keep it open to traffic. Shoulder closures on I-75 were also put into place.

The eastbound I-94 ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday through June 12 for the demolition and rebuilding of the supporting pier holding up the ramp. This also requires lane closures on northbound and southbound I-75 under the I-94 ramp but will be limited to single or double-lane closures during off-peak hours.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: 

Thursday:

*9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Northbound I-75 will have single and double-lane closures to restripe the freeway for a lane shift. 

*2-6 p.m.
Southbound I-75 will have single and double-lane closures to restripe the freeway for a lane shift.

Friday:

*7 p.m.
Northbound and southbound I-75 will have one lane closed until Saturday evening.

*8 p.m.
The eastbound I-94 ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed for pier demolition, reconstruction, and curing of the supporting pier until June 12. The posted detour is eastbound I-94 to southbound M-10 (Lodge Freeway), then northbound I-75.
