Northbound I-75 remains closed in Detroit due to tanker fire

With lingering hazmat issues and a pending complete structural investigation of the bridges, it may take days before I-75 is completely back open after a tanker fire shut down the freeway Sunday morning.

As of now, northbound I-75 is closed after the Rosa Parks exit.

It is unclear how long I-75 will be shut down but those traveling the roadway Sunday and Monday should expect delays.

Below is a current list of updated closures and alternative detours if you need to navigate the area.


*M-10 ramp to northbound I-75

*Northbound I-75 Fisher to I-75 Chrysler


*Michigan Avenue

*Gratiot Avenue

*Southbound M-10 to Forest or Howard exit

*I-94 exit early near Midtown area
