Off-duty police officer from Washington, D.C. shot in Dearborn

An off-duty police officer from Washintgon, D.C. has been shot in Michigan, the Detroit Police Department tells FOX 2. 

It happened early Monday morning outside The Pantheion Club in Dearborn, which is on Michigan Avenue at Oakman Boulevard. 

We're told Dearborn Police are investigating the shooting, which may have involved an attempted carjcacking.

We're told the victim and his friend then drove to a police station on the east side of Detroit. The vehicle is still there, and Dearborn police are investigating the bullet holes in the vehicle. 

The victim's condition is unknown at this time. Detroit police took him to St. John's Hospital around 2:30 this morning.
