One dead, one wounded in southwest Detroit shootings

Police are at the scene where multiple shootings happened on the southwest side at about 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say a 20-year-old man was shot fatally and a teen has been wounded in the leg.

The two shootings, which police say were related, happened at Larkins and Kirkwood and at a second location of Burwell and Braden.

Capt. Darin Szilagy said that the two teens were shot in an "apparent attack."

"We're not sure what (led) to the incident," he said.

There has not been an arrest yet and no vehicle description has been made available.

One suspect Szilagy said is being sought is "light-skinned and short in stature." No other details are available at this time.
