Prayer vigil in Highland Park for shooting victims

Faith leaders came together in prayer to promote healing and unity in the community on June 11.

The Detroit Alliance for Change held a prayer service with the gathering in response to the shooting of Philando Castile, Alton Sterling and the five Dallas police officers.

Parishioners from diverse backgrounds talked about how racism involves everyone at the service, held at Triumphant Life Christian Church in Highland Park.

A youth group from Missouri doing missionary work here in Michigan also took part in the service.
