Robin Murdoch
Robin Murdoch started working at FOX 2 in June of 2009 as a "Jill of all trades." She has been trained to produce, post stories to the web, and run the assignment desk but her passion is reporting. You can see her every morning during the week.
Originally from Concord, New Hampshire, Robin graduated from Emerson College in Boston in 1997 with a degree in mass communications. She's worked for television stations in Alpena, Cadillac and Knoxville, Tennessee. She's happy to be back in the state where her reporting career began.
Robin loves meeting new people and sharing their stories. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and twin boys. She also plays roller derby with a team based in Oakland County.
Proudest moment: When I became a mother. It's amazing to see something grow inside you, then to teach them to talk, walk and be a good person.
Favorite vacation spot: Thailand. My mother is from there. It was unbelievable to visit her home with her as my personal tour guide.
Favorite food: Ice cream. I would have it every day if I could. I have always worked at ice cream shops and would gladly eat my "mistakes."
Favorite story covered: A story about a classroom in Manistee, Michigan that had multiple sets of twins. The kids were so adorable and now I have my own.
Your inspiration: My parents. They are the most giving people I know. They continue to take care of me even as an adult. I would be nothing without them.
