Secret Santa Pays Off $79K Worth of Layaways

HARRISBURG, Pa. - A secret Santa surprised many Walmart shoppers by paying off their bills. 

The mystery Good Samaritan is known as "Santa B." The person went to the layaway counter at the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Walmart and paid off $79,000 worth of layaways.

Shoppers who showed up to pay off their bills said they are grateful. 

"I started crying right away on the phone because I was actually going to have to cancel my layaway," said one shopper. 

The store manager said the anonymous donor told the store it was specifically for holiday layaways. 

"I've had a very rough week. That makes my week," said another shopper. 

The manager said this isn't the first time they've had people help others out, but it's usually one shopper paying it forward to another shopper.
