Siblings report almost being abducted while walking home in Pontiac

Police are looking for two men they say tried to abduct two children in Pontiac on Wednesday.

The mother of an 11-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy reported her children were walking home from school in the area of Rundell and Nelson streets when they heard a vehicle behind them.

The children turned to look and say they saw two men in a van wearing masks.

One man is said to have gotten out, and the children say they heard one of the men say, 'Hurry up and grab them.'

The sister then says she told her brother to run, and they made it to the Howard Dell Community Center where someone helped them get inside.

When asked for a description, the children say the men were in a light- or powder-blue van, and describe the suspects as black men because they could see their hands.

Oakland County Sgt. Glen Walker says the van's passenger sliding door may be recognizable because either the glass is broken out and is covered up with tape, or because the window tint may be coming down.

You're asked to call police if you have information about the vehicle or the suspects.
