Spidey Kid saves the day during special Make-A-Wish

A Wisconsin boy battling a genetic disorder becomes a superhero for the day and gets a free shopping spree to boot thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Macy's.

The stage was set for an epic showdown. The President and Store Manager at the Greendale, Wisconsin, Macy's had three criminals inside the store and they stole the magic of Macy's! Security couldn't stop them, neither could store employees. Enter Spidey Kid.

6 -year-old Giovonni Realzola is perfect for the role because he's been a fighter for much of his life.

"Giovonni has been through a lot in his six years. He's dealt with a lot of doctor visits and treatments and all sorts of stuff," said Forrest Doolen with Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

On any given day he's going toe-to-toe with a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis. And on Saturday, he swung into Macy's to do battle with "The Professor" and his henchmen. A chaotic chase ensued until Spidey Kid and Greendale Police finally had the villains cornered.

"Greendale's police department, we've got their rescue squad , we've got their fire department, so there is all kids of folks rallying behind the cause what Giovonni is going to do for us," Store Manager Jon Otterbacher said.

With peace restored and The Professor in custody, he had a few parting words for cameras.

"It's been a lot of fun. It's up there with the most fun that I've had with a role," Emmitt Morgans said.
