Taylor plant employee's fight leads to fatal hit and run

A man is dead and another under arrest after a fight on the job led to a deadly  hit and run in Taylor Wednesday.

Police have arrested a 36-year-old Lincoln Park man accused of running down the victim in the parking lot and fleeing. Milton Joel Murillo-Vaqusero, 24, of Dearborn was killed.

It happened during the night shift Wednesday at Angstrom USA, a commercial plant on Trolley Industrial Drive near I-94 and Ecorse Road in Taylor.

Police say there was an altercation in the parking lot. which led to an employee being run over. Vaqusero was pronounced dead at the scene.

"He was a good guy," said one coworker, wishing to remain anonymous. "He was a nice guy, a hard worker."

After the incident,  the suspect was taken into custody. Employees say a number of employees have volunteered to provide witness statements to police.

Employees say the suspect  is a co-worker at the plant but police are not confirming his employment.

Taylor investigators expect a warrant charging the driver, will be sent to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

Fellow workers are saddened to consider their colleague, who they say moved to Dearborn from Honduras, could come to work and then be killed following a senseless dispute.

"It's incredible you know," said the employee.
