TBT: Delivery trucks line street in front of Vernor's in 1920s

The oldest ginger ale company still in business is based right here in the Motor City. So what better way to celebrate Vernor's and the automobile than combining both? That's exactly what happened in Detroit 95 years ago.

The photo above shows Vernor's Ginger Ale delivery trucks lined up in a neat line in front of the company bottling plant on the west side of Woodward Ave just south of Woodbridge street. According to the Detroit Historical Society, who supplied the picture, the photo is circa 1920 but an exact date is unknown.

In the picture, you can see Mariners Church, located at the northwest corner of Woodward and Woodbridge, in the center right area of the photo. A sign for the "Contractors Equipment Company Sales Office" can be seen just to the right of the church.
