Thieves steal drugs, cash from Roseville pharmacy

Armed robbers held up a Roseville pharmacy Wednesday afternoon and stole more than money.

Just after 2 p.m. police say three men wore masks and hoodies when they robbed the Doctor's Pharmacy store stealing all the drugs in the safe.

Glen Weldon's wife Sandra is a pharmacist there and was working when the incident unfolded

"She stated they came in, she was tending to the candy and they put a gun right to the back of her head," Glen Weldon said. "And (they) made her jump over the counter and they threw her."

Sandra and the owner of the pharmacy were the only two people inside at the time of the robbery

"They got all the drugs out of the safe," Glen said. "Everything. Oxycontin, Vicodin, all the street stuff."

Police say the investigation is ongoing, but money was also stolen.

The owner says his pharmacy has been robbed before but  never during store hours.

"Not like this," said Dillib Shah. "Not in broad daylight, nothing like this."

Police believe the group responsible for robbing this pharmacy is also responsible for robbing pharmacies in other areas.

"We do believe the method they used with doing this robbery, we believe they've done other robberies," said Roseville Police Chief James Berlin. "We believe it may be a crew that is actually targeting pharmacies.

"We'll be checking with neighboring jurisdictions to see if they have any leads as well. Maybe we can piece this together and find out who these people are."

As police continue looking for the suspects, the pharmacy is closed until further notice.

But Glen says he wants his wife to find a new place to work.

"I already told her that she isn't coming back," he said. "No."
