Turning Point for domestic violence victims need help after fire

A non-profit that offers a safe haven for abused women and children is now in need of some emergency help.

On Sunday a fire broke out at the Turning Point shelter in Macomb County where dozens of domestic violence victims had to be evacuated.

Now the organization needs funds to help families find temporary shelter.

Investigators say the fire appears to be an accident - starting in a dryer in the laundry room.

Turning point has launched a fundraising campaign. If you're interested in helping check out their GoFundMe account HERE
