(WJBK) - In the closing seconds of the game, his shot was nothing but net.
Eight-year-old William Herman made an incredible half court shot at the buzzer. It happened last week at Hayfield Elementary School, not far from Washington, D.C.
"I was really surprised I made it, and I was really excited," William said. His proud father caught the whole thing on video.
The last-minute play sent the game into overtime because the league's rules count the half court heave as a two pointer. William's team did not win the game in overtime, though.
Hi dad, Benjamin Herman, says William has a lot of natural ability and that all the counselors called him "The Natural" at summer camp. He says William is going to continue playing ball, hopefully all the way to high school.
