Veteran confronts 'fake' asking for money outside Air Force Base

Garrett Goodwin says he spotted a man in uniform and holding a sign asking for help outside MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Goodwin said he talked to the man and heard him change his story several times. Then he confronted him.

According to Stolen Valor, the fake veteran told Garrett that he was former special forces and his missions were 'so secret that the VA doesn't recognize him or acknowledge he exists".

Goodwin told FOX 13 in Tampa he was in the car with his cousin when he drove by the man. He said he spoke to the 'vet' for a few minutes and knew something wasn't right. He said the man then started "changing his story several times."

Goodwin snapped.

"Take off that uniform!" you hear Goodwin yell. He chases the man through traffic and across intersections, barking at him to remove his uniform and reminding him that men and women died wearing it.
