3,000 people score limited release of KFC sunscreen, will smell like fried chicken

What's the deal with KFC? The fast-food restaurant has pulled some interesting stunts this year but the latest is, well, sizzling.

KFC introduced Extra Crispy Sunscreen on Monday, for some reason. The SPF 30 sunscreen promises to make you smell like real fried chicken while protecting you from the sun's harmful rays.

On Monday, KFC unleashed the sunscreen giveaway at kfc.com at 9:00 a.m. By 3:00 p.m. ET, all 3,000 bottles had been given away.

That means that at least 3,000 people could soon smell like fried chicken, while they're out in the sun.

Kentucky Fried Chicken has had at least four different actors portray Colonel Sanders: Darrell Hammond, Norm McDonald, Jim Gaffigan, and now George Hamilton. Hamilton, the notoriously bronze celebrity, has been touting the extra crispy chicken on TV and online.

This year, KFC has also pulled some other interesting stunts this year, including fried chicken scented nail polish and realistic looking fake fried chicken that you can stick to your phone, for some reason.
