A video from a New Zealand couple's wedding is making the rounds across the internet.
Friends and family honored the newlyweds at their reception in Auckland with a traditional haka chant. While the dance may seem intimidating, the haka is a type of ancient Māori war dance traditionally used on the battlefield, as well as when groups come together in peace. It's a "fierce display of a tribe's pride, strength, and unity," according to NewZealand.com.
The surprise performance was put on by groomsmen and guests. As the dance continues, the bride is overcome with tears. Eventually, both her and the groom join in along with other wedding guests.
The video was recorded by the bride's cousin who posted the video. It has been viewed more than 38.7 mililon times, and shared more than 420,000.
