Canadian cops to punish drunk drivers with Nickelback

On Canadian's Prince Edward Island, one local police department is making social media threats online against drunk driving: you drink and drive, you listen to Nickelback.

The Kensington Police Service made the serious threat on Saturday against all of those "dumb enough to feel they can drink and drive."

They mean it. They have an unopened copy of Nickelback that they don't want to open.

The Facebook post has the standard advice to take a cab or have a designated driver. Then they promised they'd find any drunk drivers and punish them - Canadian style - with Chad Kroeger.

You see, the Kensington Police have Figured You Out: not only do you get the DUI, you get Nickelback, and your Photograph taken. But you'll be no Rockstar - you'll be locked up. This is How You Remind Me - or yourself - that Never Again will you do it. Maybe Someday you'll be able to look back and thank the police.

"So please, lets not ruin a perfectly good unopened copy of Nickelback," it said in its post. "You don't drink and drive and we won't make you listen to it."
