Police say sharpshooter chases off armed suspects

An armed woman in Fresno County gave a pair of alleged burglars a nasty surprise. Police say the two had just robbed a home and held an elderly couple hostage and were ready to hit up another house. Until Marilyn got her gun.

The pair of alleged burglars had just held the elderly couple hostage and then tried another house nearby. However, homeowner Marilyn Williams is a trained sharpshooter. She's armed and knows how to use it.

She got out her gun and had them in her scope; however, she decided not to fire and threatened them instead. According to police, the two burglars ran off.

"The first guy that I saw, he had jumped over the fence. The other person had taken off. I kept yelling 'I'm gonna shoot you' I said 'I'm gonna shoot you' and I was saying because I heard my husband, I was like 'shoot him, shoot him!' Marilyn said.

Police tried to find them but the pair disappeared and are still at large. The elderly couple taken hostage were shaken up but otherwise unhurt.
