Reality TV star shares how she teaches son to respect women

MONROE, Mich. (WJBK) - A reality TV star is making waves after posting to her Facebook how she is teaching her 6 year old son to respect women.

Nikkole Paulun from MTV's "16 and Pregnant" posted the picture New Year's Day, showing her son Lyle digging through his Spiderman wallet while the two were out to dinner. Paulun explains it's part of a monthly date the two share.

"He opens doors for me, pulls out my chair, talks about his day & asks me how mine was, pays the bill with money he earned by doing chores, and even tips the waiter/waitress."

Paulun says, "By doing this I am teaching him how to treat a lady & how to take her on a proper date. How to show that he respects the woman he loves (right now that would be mommy)."

The 22-year-old mom has herself dealt with an unsavory past with men. 

Since being posted January 1st, the post has been shared more than 448,000 times and liked more than 2.8 million.

Paulun currently lives in Monroe, Michigan with Lyle, and her 6 month old daughter Ellie Jade.
