U Name It Challenge getting us all in Thanksgiving mood

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and a new internet craze is definitely getting us all in the feasting mood.

It's called the U Name it Challenge, and it stems from a video of a Shirley Ceasar gospel performance. The clip is of her singing "Hold My Mule", and even though its years' old, it's just recently gone viral.

The challenge is pretty simple -- just post a video of yourself dancing your heart away to the song.

But, if you know the song, there's a part where the lyrics are all about food. Shirley sings:

"I got beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes
Lamb, rams, hogs, dogs
Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes
Chicken, turkeys, rabbit (You name it)!"

That's the part of the song that's going viral (remixed, of course), and many of the videos are now using the lyrics as an ode to the upcoming Thanksgiving feast. This post, from the popular Instagram account _daquan, appears to be one of the first:

The post reads, "Grandma, what are you cooking for Thanksgiving?" -- and the response is Shirley Ceasar belting out the list of foods.

The idea has morphed from there, and has grown into the UNameIt Challenge where people dance to the song, or post a compilation of celebrity dance moves synced up to the music.

Here's a couple of our favorites:
