The 15th and final season of American Idol is upon us and they've got some tricks up their sleeve for the final year.
The show has been where many stars have found their start. From Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery, and Jennifer Hudson. These are just some of the names of the notable contestants on the show.
Now, you can add Kanye West.
On Monday, two days before the season premiere, American Idol dropped the video below on YouTube that shows Kanye West auditioning for American Idol.
He opens with the line "My name is Kanye West and I'm from the South Side of Chicago". He said he was originally a producer and wanted to rap, even though people didn't believe in him.
On the side of many auditions, Ryan Seacrest is filmed talking with family members. This is true for this one as well as he talks with Kim Kardashian about her nerves.
Cut back to Kanye and he says he'll do something original: he raps the first verse of 'Gold Digger'. Does he get the Golden Ticket to go to Hollywood? Watch the video in the YouTube video below:
