Witnesses: Man hunting pheasants electrocuted on Detroit's east side

Detroit police are investigating a man who may have stepped on a live wire and was fatally electrocuted in a field on Detroit's east side Saturday.

Witnesses in the area say the man was walking through a field of tall grass on Jane Avenue when the man was apparently electrocuted. Witnesses also say the man appeared to be looking for pheasants.

Detroit police and DTE Energy are on-scene investigating.

No information has been released about the victim.
