Saturday Lions News & Notes

- The Detroit Lions held their second day of training camp practice Satuday and this time they got to practice outside after being forced inside by rain Friday.  The players were wearing helmets and shorts in the 75 degree weather and the field was in pretty good shape after rain yesterday and for most of today before practice.

Every Lions player who could practice practiced.  Don Carey & DeAndre Levy who are on the active/non-football injury list watched from the sidelines as well as the physically unable to perform players Corey Robinson, Brandon Pettigrew & Corey Fuller.

Ameer Abdullah wore a red non-contact jersey, but participated in practice.

Abdullah, Jeremy Kerley, Jace Billingsley, Andre Roberts, TJ Jones & Golden Tate all were back returning punts before practice.

Taylor Decker continues to be the starting left tackle on the offensive line with Laken Tomlinson at left guard, Travis Swanson at center, Larry Warford at right guard and Riley Reiff at right tackle.

The highlight play Saturday was when Golden Tate caught a fade pass going to the ground down the right sideline in the endzone from Matthew Stafford while having two defenders all over him.
