Detroit (WJBK) - The Detroit Tigers announced Thursday they have traded outfielder Cameron Maybin to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and have exercised the option of closer Francisco Rodriguez.

Maybin, 29, played in 94 games for the Tigers in 2016 and batted .315 with 43 RBI and 4 home runs. Maybin also had 15 stolen bases.
Rodriguez, 34, had 44 saves in 61 games this past season for the Tigers with a 3.24 ERA and a 3-4 record.
