A loss of for the Buckeyes would launch Michigan State into the driver's seat needing just one more win to make it to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship Game.
In the second quarter, Ezekil Elliot started the scoring off with a 1 yard TD to put OSU up 7-0, extra point by Sean Nuernberger.
Time was winding down (0:03 left on the game clock) with a tie 14-14 score, but the winds were in Sparty's favor. Michigan State found themselves in a last second position to win, and they did. Michael Geiger kicked a 41 yard field goal to secure the victory for the MSU Spartans.
A Twitter post by @MSU_Football revealed that Ohio State & MSU will pay tribute to former U-M coach Lloyd Carr's grandson Chad by wearing special helmet decals. Chad's care has recently changed to hospice care. He has been battling DIPG, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a childhood version of brain cancer since his diagnosis in the Fall of 2014.
The decals – scarlet and grey for Ohio State, green and white for Michigan State – have a boy flexing his muscles and the sayings “ChadToughFDN” (for the ChadTough.org foundation) and “#ChadTough.” You can learn more about Chad on Facebook Page, "Pray for Chad Carr."
Michigan Wolverines will host the Ohio State Buckeyes at the Big House at Noon (ET), Nov 28.
Michigan State University will host the Penn State Nittany Lions in Lansing at 3:30 pm (ET), Nov 28.
