ARLINGTON, TX - Michigan State University held their Cotton Bowl media day Tuesday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas as they prepare for their first round game of the College Football Playoff against Alabama. Our Jennifer Hammond caught up with MSU senior linebacker Darien Harris to get his thoughts going into the biggest game of his career.
"He's a fantastic player," Harris said on Alabama Heisman Trophy winning running back Derrick Henry. "He's a complete back and really looking forward to the challenge of playing a guy of that caliber."
The Spartans played in the Cotton Bowl last season, but this year much more is on the line.
"When we kind of stepped out here into this stadium for our first practice, we understood that something different was kind of on the line. There was a game beyond this one. Just the fact we've been here before we knew the lay of the land."
And on being 10-point underdogs, "We've been an underdog many times throughout our career, just the Spartan-dog way."
