AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - The Detroit Pistons (18-16) host the Orlando Magic (19-15) Monday night in what could be a pivotal early Eastern Conference showdown.
"Got to take care of your home court," Pistons guard Reggie Jackson said on the game tonight. "We got to make sure we get this one and continue to move on."
The Pistons have lost four of their last five, including a 94-82 loss in Indiana to the Pacers last Saturday night.
"I talked to league security," Pistons Head Coach Stan Van Gundy said regarding his ejection against the Pacers. Van Gundy said he didn't see the scuffle afterwards.
Van Gundy also added that Reggie Jackson (ankle) went through practice "fine".
Van Gundy was very complimentary of Magic rookie Mario Hezonja saying he was "impressed" by him and center Nikola Vucevic.
"He's as skilled as any center in the league," Van Gundy said on Vucevic. "He can score down low. He can drive the ball from the perimeter. He can shoot the ball from the perimieter and he can really really pass the ball...I don't know if there is a more skilled big guy in the league...he is a difficult match-up."
