Felder Named Horizon League Player of the Year

The Horizon League announced Tuesday that Oakland University basketball player Kay Felder was named Horizon League Player of the Year.

Felder, a junior from Detroit, averaged 24.4 points per game and 9.4 assists -- which led the NCAA -- per game. Felder said last week that he is planning on returning to school next season and getting his degree.

Other Horizon League awards went to Oakland's Max Hooper who was named Sixth Man of the Year and Jalen Hayes who was named to the All-Horizon League second team.

University of Detroit-Mercy forward Paris Bass was named to the All-Horizon League first team while freshman Josh McFolley was named to the All-Horizon League freshman team.
