Lions trade for LB Eli Harold

The Detroit Lions announced Thursday they have traded a reported conditional 7th round draft pick for 49ers linebacker Eli Harold.

Harold, 24, was a third round draft pick by San Francisco in 2015 and has 84 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 48 career games including playing in all 16 games last season.

The University of Virginia alum started 10 games last season and had 34 tackles with two sacks. 

The Lions also announced they waived defensive lineman JoJo Wicker.

Detroit takes on Tampa Bay in Tampa Friday for their third preseason game.
