SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2's Sports Director Dan Miller was joined by Jamie Samuelsen & Sean Baligian Sunday night on the SportsWorks roundtable as they started with the Lions big win in Minnesota. How they are ahead of where thought they would be at this time and how the Lions' defense is very opportunistic. Jamie talked how the defense has a lot of depth due to Bob Quinn and his picks are making plays. Sean talked how the Lions are finding different ways to beating teams.
Michigan State was next on the rundown and the panel talked how big the game this weekend is against Michigan. The crew talked about how there is a lot on the line last week for both teams. Sean talked how the key is Michigan State running the ball from someone that isn't Brian Lewerke. The guys also talked how Michigan's defense is really good, but their offense continues to struggle and John O'Korn might not be the savior.
Next on the docket were the Tigers as their season comes to a close. The crew talked about the end of the Brad Ausmus era and how he was over his head from day one. Jamie and Sean gave their thoughts on what qualities the new manager will need and what the key is.
Red Wings were next and Sean talked about why they sent Michael Rasmussen down over the weekend and why they did not see what he could do right now in the NHL.
The guys ended the segment talking about the loss of Dave Strader and what a great person he was.
