SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2's Sports Director Dan Miller was joined by Pat Caputo & Sean Baligian Sunday night on the SportsWorks roundtable as they started with the Lions week one win over the Arizona Cardinals. They started with the Lions strong defense and how it kept them in the game. How the defensive line was terrific and kept Carson Palmer under pressure all night. Sean brought up the fact that they didn't just win, they won going away and Pat said that Matthew Stafford is really good and all the negative talk needs to stop. They also talked about Kenny Golladay and his superb first game.
The crew moved on to Michigan & Michigan State, but first gave credit to Eastern Michigan for their win over Rutgers. The guys then went on to Michigan and their struggles against Cincinnati and how they were vulnerable defensively. Dan brought up the fact that the big question is still Wilton Speight and if he is good enough to lead the Wolverines to where they want to go. Michigan State was next on the docket and the guys talked how Michigan State has a pretty good defense this year and shut down Western Michigan's running game.
Next on the rundown was the Tigers and they talked about what they're looking for right now with the Tigers even with all the struggles. The guys moved on to the Red Wings and the current status with Andreas Athanasiou.
Lions Game Night then came on as the crew went more in depth into the Lions win over the Cardinals on Sunday and previewed next week's game against the New York Giants.
